This is a great guitar! If you are not happy with the software included, I recommend you get hold of the AP Tuner (Google it) and the VST Host with FreeAmp SE_15 plugin (Google it). Guess what? Both are free. It may take a while to set up and to get the programs to realise that the guitar is there, but it's worth it. Really.

To those that ask, no the guitar will not play without PC, it needs USB to power the guitar, yes you can play it with an amp, it has traditional amp output, no you do not NEED an amp, just connect to computer and use headphones, no it is not vista compatible, we are working on this. Yes it will work the ACID etc. Hope this helps. :-).

The driver download page on BEHRINGER's website says it is compatable with Vista. Just an update for you as I spent about an hour searching for that answer.

Can the iAxe play out of the PC's speakers, or do we have to get an amplifier?

Can you play without computer and only listen through headphones directly out of the guitar? Is it completely quiet (hopefully not) or can you plink plonk a bit on the strings without computer or headphones just like a regular electric guitar? answer me and make me happy! :).
